У меня несколько кредитных карт, выданных разными банками. Пользуюсь только одной, остальные кредитные карты оформлены на всякий случай. Что может быть, если не пользоваться кредитной картой? Стоит ли закрывать нулевую кредитную карту?
Всем нам часто докучают звонки из банков с предложениями о кредитах наличными, либо кредитных картах с льготным периодом. Сотрудники банка настаивают на том, что кредитная карта ни к чему не обязывает своего владельца. Оформить ее рекомендуется исключительно для удобства моментальной оплаты понадобившихся товаров и услуг здесь и сейчас, не дожидаясь зарплаты. Если успеть вернуть деньги в льготный период, то банковская услуга будет бесплатной. Откуда такая подозрительная благотворительность от банков? Ведь бесплатный сыр бывает только в мышеловке.
Беспроцентный период и проценты после
Большинство кредитных карт имеют льготный беспроцентный период от 30 до 120 дней. В течении беспроцентного периода (еще его называют грейс-период (grace period — англ.)) от заемщика требуется выплачивать банку лишь минимальный процент от суммы задолженности по кредитной карте — от 5 % до 10 %. До истечения льготного периода необходимо погасить всю сумму долга.
Кредитные карты имеют существенно более высокий процент в отличие от потребительского кредита. Банковская щедрость «бесплатного кредитования» предполагает, что рано или поздно заемщик не сможет выплатить в срок всю сумму, и тогда задним числом ему будут пересчитаны все набежавшие проценты с момента, когда он начал пользоваться кредитными деньгами.
Кроме того, по кредитной карте можно расплатиться только за покупки, а если требуются наличные, то банки возьмут процент за обналичивание денег на кредитной карте.
Комиссии за обслуживание кредитной карты
Обязательно читайте условия выпуска и обслуживания кредитной карты. Возможны ситуации, когда за «бесплатную кредитную карту» с вас спишут разовую комиссию за выпуск, а потом ежемесячно или раз в год будут списывать комиссию за обслуживание. Даже если вы кредитной картой так и не воспользовались.
Также обратите внимание, подключена ли у вас услуга смс-оповещения, она тоже может быть платной, вне зависимости, пользуетесь ли вы картой или нет.
Активация кредитной карты
Уточните у банка условия активации кредитной карты. В разных банках они различаются.
Кредитная история
Открытая кредитная карта отражается в вашей кредитной истории, даже если вы ею и не пользуетесь. Отчасти это хорошо. У вас формируется положительная кредитная история — банк выдал вам кредитный лимит и у вас нет просрочек по нему (так как вы не пользуетесь). При закрытии кредитной карты в кредитной истории отразится наличие погашенного долга. Исключение — если есть мелкие банковские комиссии за обслуживание, о которых вы не знаете и, соответственно, их не оплачиваете. Просрочка формирует отрицательную кредитную историю.
Из минусов кредитной карты, которой вы не пользуетесь, можно отметить, что любой кредит (включая кредитный лимит по кредитной карте) увеличивает кредитную нагрузку заемщика. Если вам понадобится крупный кредит (например, ипотека или автокредит), то кредитная карта может вам помешать получить другой кредит.
Закрытие кредитной карты
Если вы уверены, что делать с кредитная карта вам не нужна, то лучше всего обратиться в банк и закрыть ненужную кредитную карту.
Обратите внимание, что для закрытия кредитной карты необходимо обратиться в банк, написать заявление на закрытие кредитного счета и и получить от банка справку об отсутствии задолженности и закрытии счета.
