Я покупаю акции через брокера. Точнее, через мобильное приложение в телефоне. Всё виртуально. Что случится с моими акциями, если брокер обанкротится? Как доказать, что я реально владею акциями?

Акции и облигации сейчас существуют только в электронном виде. В бумажном виде эти ценные бумаги более не обращаются. Акции имеют бездокументарную форму и существуют только в виде записей в депозитариях.

Депозитарий — это номинальный держатель акций. У каждого брокера есть свой депозитарий. Услуги депозитария включены в стоимость услуг брокера, а сам депозитарий является обособленным подразделением брокера. Депозитарий – это отдельное юридическое лицо.

Ваши акции, которые вы купили у брокера, реально хранятся не у самого брокера, а учитываются в базе данных в депозитарии. Учет в депозитарии ведется с помощью счетов ДЕПО — это записи, которые нужны для учёта ценных бумаг и для установления их владельца.

Если брокер обанкротится

Если брокер обанкротился — для владельца акций это не критично. Ценные бумаги хранятся (учитываются) в депозитарии.

Выписка со счёта ДЕПО — это документ, который подтверждает, что вы реально владеете акциями на вашем брокерском счёте. Вам нужно запросить данную выписку у брокера. Или вы можете ее самостоятельно скачать в мобильном приложении — это будет юридическим доказательством, что вы владеете ценными бумагами, которые вы видите в мобильном приложении брокера.

Важно! Если брокер обанкротился, то вы рискуете потерять деньги, которые у вас были на брокерском счёте. Но купленные акции учитываются уже в депозитарии.
